Where the shift register memory is used to shift the data from the one address to another of the memory of register memory for next input data as a computed value from the previous memory of register memory.

Program counter is a type of register memory that calculates the next program or instructions of the computer ready for execution on the CPU. It manages the instructions and addresses data that is ready for next execution according to the programming algorithm of the microprogramming of the CPU, the micro programming is applied on the peripherals devices that work for processing of the data on the computer system.
