What are the 4 basic parts of a computer? There are some points on the computer system and fundamentals of computers related to the topic of "What are the 4 basic parts of a computer?" following below here: There are four basic parts of the computer system listed following below here

  • Input and output system
  • Process system
  • Memory and management
  • System Software

Let's discuss the points above about the computer system and fundamentals of computers related to the topic of "What are the 4 basic parts of a computer?" explanation following below here:

There are four basic parts of the computer system explanation following below here:

Input and output system

Input and output system is a unit of sending the instructions according to the types of unit system. Such as input devices are used to send the instructions to the computer system and output devices are used to send instructions to the user in the form of the output data when the user needs the output data.

Input unit and output unit is controlled by the control unit and operating system to allow it to connect with the computer system.

Similarly the operating system is also allowed to connect the output device to the computer system. Without the output device the user cannot understand the computer output data from the CPU and input device is also important to send the instructions to the computer to understand in the binary code.

Process system

Process system is the most important part of the computer because it is the brain of the computer system which is used to process the instructions, data, program etc given by the order of the user.

Process system is used to solve the computing problem of the user such as the logical and calculative problem on the computer system provided through the output device of the computer system that is connected to the CPU.

The CPU is also known as the brain of the computer system and the CPU is a chip of the computer that is implemented on the motherboard of the computer system. The CPU contains CU and ALU which is known as the control unit as CU and ALU as the arithmetic and logic unit of the central processing unit or CPU.

Memory and management

Memory and its management of the computer system is necessary because the data, instructions and program which is ready for execution on the CPU is stored into the memory which is known as primary memory of the computer system.

The primary memory is a type of the temporary memory of the computer which stores only for a few times when the requirements of the CPU to store the data, instructions and program due to high traffic of execution. The most accessible and fastest memory of the computer system is the register which stores the 1 to 64 bit of data in the memory. The temporary memory also includes RAM, Cache, register and other types of memory which are known as permanent memory of the computer are disc storage, flash memory, memory card, rom etc. These memories are used for a long time to store the data and database.

System Software

System software is software that controls the input output unit, process unit, memory unit using the program techniques that are applied on the peripheral devices of the whole computer system.

The system software interacts between the user and hardware devices of the computer system.

System software interacts with the interface of graphics which is known as graphical user interface that can command to control the input and output units that are hardware devices of the computer system.

System software is used to install on the computer system because the system software or operating system manages the database of the computer system that is stored into the permanent memory of the computer system for a long time for the user and temporary memory is also used by the operating system on the computer system.

Types of Local Storage in Computer Systems

Describe the different types of local storage of computer systems? The local storage device is a type of memory for the user to keep a database file for a long time to access again and stored as a distributed offline database on the local storage. The local storage device can be pendrive, compact discs, dvd, floppy drive, HDD, SSD, memory card etc. The local storage needs to keep the valuable database file for the user to provide the lost database if suddenly deleted or formatted the whole drive of the computer system. Local storage in computer systems refers to devices or media that store data directly connected to the computer. There are several types, including Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), which use spinning disks and magnetic heads to store data; Solid-State Drives (SSDs), which store data in flash memory, offering faster access times and lower power consumption; and Hybrid drives, which combine elements of both. Other forms of local storage include USB flash drives, SD cards, and CDs/...

Discuss the data replication on the distributed database system?

Discuss the data replication on the distributed database system? The data replica is a term that refers to the data replication means the copy of data into the servers distributed to access the copy of data. The data replication in a distributed database system is a term that provides the benefits for the user to easily access the data from the nearby server provided for the client user from the website. The data can be easily accessible from the server and provide the fast speed with reduces the latency of the data transfer to the client server such as:- if the user access the data from their smartphone device then the data will be fast to load because the nearby server provide the data replicated or copied of data to the user. Data replication in a distributed database system involves creating and maintaining multiple copies of data across different nodes or locations to enhance availability, reliability, and performance. It ensures that users can access data even if a node fails, re...
