Application layer is used to interact the application software online interface between the computer systems;

Transport layer is used to transfer the data to computers such as end to end or peer to peer connection of network device or computer systems;

Network layer is used to make a network between computer systems and network devices and allows the transfer of data packets;

Physical layer refers to the hardware system of network connection between computer systems and network devices which is also known layer 1 for physical connection of network systems.

The network system contains so much hardware and application software which is used to share different types of data. This data needs to apply the rule to share between computer systems and the computer system receives the data packets from the sender computer system. The network system needs a transmission control protocol that defines the network system. The network system needs different types of layers that are used to communicate between computer systems. These layers are application, transport, network and physical which is used to communicate and define the communication system between computer systems. To define the communication system "how to communicate with a defined protocol of a network system between computer systems?" In the network system.

The transport layer also works on the application software where the application software sends the data to the user through the network device from the computer system and it is defined by the transport layer on the network systems of network protocol according to the OSI model in the computer network and communication system.
