The representation of the data and information from the relational database management system model

How can the relational database model be able to show their information and data from the database?

Describing the information from the database

  • The relational database made by some components are rows, columns, rows number, columns name, key attributes etc.
  • This database is made by the combination of rows and columns called cells in the model where the column direction is a vertical type data and rows direction is a horizontal type data.
  • To describe the information we can use queries command to take information of a particular record from the rows and the columns show their attributes of the record.
  • The records are searched by their unique identity of a particular record from the relational model which is known as a key attribute of the record.

Describing the data from the database

  • The data is raw in a database but in the combination of record and attribute, the data is meaningful data which is called information. 
  • The data is entered by the user in the database.
  • The data is entered by the user using queries or it can be updated, deleted and processed in the database for an application.
  • The data from a particular cell is also a description data about the records of an object and it can be an information of the object data. The description gives you information about the object where the column name is “description” and the data of the description cells are known as information of the object.
