Object Relational model is a combination of two types of model object and relational database

The combination of two types of data model is an object relational database model that provides to the user to implement the database technology for application development.

The relational database contains the row and column which make a cell by crossing to each other and provide a cell to store the data in the matrix form or tabular form of the database.

The row which is also known as record or tuple of the relation contains an object database such as name or unique attribute and the column is known as fields, attributes, properties, characteristics etc. which describes the object have some data to denoted by their properties of the object with their name and its unique identification of the object again which is also an unique property or attribute of the object to find and retrieve easily by operation of select command on the relational database management system model.

The flat contains text data and information with the particular related entity and attributes data can also contain in the flat files which is used to relate to the application software or operating system also.

The flat file is not just a text data file, it is also used for program and holding some value also in the particular extension of the application software which is used related to the other information in the program.

Most of the program contains the comments with the whole program and the file contains the program in the form text data with a particular format of file as mentioned by the developers to hold the data into it.

So the flat files are used to provide the text data into it for the relational model to access it because the relational model is used to hold only text data in the records of a particular subject or object relational information.
