Speed and Accuracy of Computer

Property of speed of calculation of computer and its storage information Or Define speed and accuracy as characteristics of computer:-

speed and accuracy

  • Computers are fast at working their performance.

  • Computers without any fault being 100 % to complete their accuracy with work done.

  • If the speed of computer is 10 MIPS that means the 10 X 106 instructions is executed and      process in one second.

instructions

  • Microprocessor is the main part of the computer CPU (Central Processing Unit) . The speed of a computer depends on the microprocessor.

  • In the operation of the Execution if the 133 MHz speed of the operation that means the frequency of the execution pulses are generated and processed is equal to the 133*106 per second.

  •  The generated frequency of pulses is called Computer clock Speed.

  • A microprocessor based computer with a higher clock frequency will operate faster than the one with a lesser clock frequency.

How is the computers are fast at working their performance?

Computers are fast during the working process and it depends on the components of the computer. There are some computer components following below which are responsible for speed of computer processing:

CPU

Central processing unit is a unit that is used to control and calculate the instructions of input and output which is ready to the output units.

There are two main parts of Central Processing Unit (CPU) are:

ALU to calculate the instructions in two parts are arithmetic unit and logical Unit.

CU is control unit to control the instructions in the time differences in measure of per second.

Cache memory

Cache memory hold some instructions that are waiting for execution of processing terms.

It also increases the speed of processing because it reduces the programs and instructions from the CPU.

RAM

Random Access Memory is a temporary memory which is used for temporary work when you are working on the system. Such as completing tasks and other execution work. The capacity of RAM is between 256Mb to 256 GB where Mb stands for megabyte and GB stands for gigabyte.

What is the speed of a computer?

There are some points on the speed of the computer system following below here:-

The speed of the computer system depends on their processing power to process the instructions, data and programs when they go into the cpu sections such as ALU, CU and PMU.

Where the ALU stands for Arithmetic and Logic Unit, CU is a Control Unit and PMU is Primary Memory Unit of the CPU which is known as Central Processing Unit.

The CPU contains different types of registers which is the fastest memory of the computer system and there are trillions of millions of transistors included in the CPU chip to process the instructions for computing the input value and provide the output results to the next program to get final output.

Such as:- shift register is used to process and shift the output data to the next register in the form of input data.

The Cache memory with CPU:-

The cache memory is a memory for storing the data, instructions and program and files to store which is used for execution on the computer and processed by the cpu chip.

The cache memory is used to reduce the loads of the primary memory unit to store many types of program and it reduces the loads which makes a high speed of processing the CPU because the PMU is a part of the CPU known as the primary memory unit.

You can add the new ram to increase of speed of computer system:-

The RAM is used to provide the temporary memory for storing the file of the application which is executing on the operating system environment or operating system have their own file to store on the temporary memory on the computer system.

The RAM is a temporary memory to collect program files or other types of file that stores the flat file data, text data only, object database files also can be stored for temporary memory RAM which is running on the computer system.

After processing the file through the CPU if the ram has low level of memory space then the ram will be slow because the stored file can take time to delete if old files are running on current and the end user wants to open many types of file on the computer system which is not possible without low level of memory of RAM.

Most of the CPUs have their high processing speed due to larger quantities of registers memory which is the fastest memory of the computer system and it is also a unit of computer system.

Some CPU chips have different models which take more instructions into the chip due the core design changed models and take a higher speed of processing system for instructions and data to process program files of operating system or application software. The current model of CPU such as:- dual core processor, octa core processors, core to dual processor and Pentium new series etc.

In trending todays, Most of the computer systems are made for gaming purpose which includes the new chip known as GPU which stands for Graphic Processing Unit that reduces the loads of CPU because the old computers also process the graphics files but the GPU is now processing only the graphics files for gaming purpose.

What determines the accuracy of a computer?

The determination of accuracy of a computer is a “result” that provide to the user or end user on the application software if the application have a program to compute input value on the application on the program by taking the input values on the variables on the program and provide the output data to the end user through the output interface depends on the types of output data for the end user on the application software on the computer system.

This result is in the 100 % of accuracy for the end user to provide the output value to the user in the 100 % but some complex calculation cannot handled by the program in the mini computer and micro computer system that available at every home that the user who has a computer system to compute the input values:

Such as:- The integer value is used to computed by the program by taking input data from the end user on the application program to provide the output data if the input value is 7 of a variable of ‘a’ and it is divided by the 3 of a variable ‘b’ on the program then it provide the output in the ‘c’ variable to store the output data to the variable ‘c’ and the output value is:-

a/b = c; it is a expression in the program or equation to provide the output value is:

By putting the value is

a = 7, b = 3, c = 0; in the program the ‘0’ is a null value on the program when the computer is computing the program.

Then the variable c = 2

Where the integer data type takes the non decimal value on the program and the user want to see the accurate value by using the float keyword data type that's need to use in the program which takes the output value is c = 2.333

If the memory of the variable takes longer then the value will be  c = (2.333…n) where n = 3 for an infinite value of 3.

It is a basic example of program computing input values using three variables used in the program to get the final output value but there are so many programs that has a complex equations or we can say in the language of program is expression = equation used to compute the input values on the program on the computer system.

Can a storage device SSD increase the computer speed?

SSD is an electronic device that is based on the flash drives that stores the data through the flash inside the SSD and quickly stores the data at the particular memory address which is given the command by the operating system and the data stored into the memory space on the SSD device. This operation of storing the data quickly stores into the memory device SSD.

The virtual memory also can be used from the SSDs parts to access and increases the speed of virtual or temporary memory for holding some data for processing on the computer system according to the operating system.

The user can transfer the data easily to the SSD on computer and the computer speed up their speeds because it reduces the storage time, virtual memory access from the SSD and the access database files stored into the memory of the SSD quickly process and applied also manipulation operations are quickly gives a response on the SSD by the user through the operating system.

When the user starts the computer system, the operating system which has been stored and installed on the SSD is quickly booted and processed to load all files which are necessary to load for daily scheduling and other files.

Yes, It is true that the upgrading to a solid-state drive (SSD) can significantly increase your computer's speed, particularly in the following areas below here:

In the Boot Times the SSDs can boot up an operating system much faster than traditional hard disk drives (HDDs), often in just a few seconds compared to the minutes it might take with an HDD.

According to the Application Launch Times the Programs and applications installed on an SSD load faster, allowing for quicker access to your work or games.

File Transfer Speeds or FTS on the SSDs provide faster read and write speeds, which means transferring files, whether it's moving data between folders or downloading from the internet, is quicker.

Due to SSDs the overall system responsiveness by the SSDs implementation reduces the time it takes to access data, your computer feels more responsive overall, improving multitasking and performance during intensive tasks.

SSDs have lower latency than HDDs, meaning they can retrieve data faster and more efficiently, contributing to better performance.

Overall, switching from an HDD to an SSD can provide a noticeable boost in the speed and responsiveness of your computer.

How can we increase the speed of the desktop computer system?

The computer system can we increase the speed depends on the hardware installing and some task can we consider to perform depends on the available operating system on the computer following below here:

The RAM can increases speed:-

In the desktop computer system RAM can increase the speed if the motherboard have two slots of RAM to install on it then we consider as the new RAM chip can be install into the computer system which increase the temporary memory if the computer slowing down daily then the RAM can increases the speed because the RAM stores program to run on the operating system when the user opens on the computer system.

The cpu uses with compatible with motherboard:-

The high speed cpu improves the speed for processing overall speed because it is a main chip of the computer to compute all types of files and program files that increase loads an high speed of cpu chip quickly processor as comparison of old version of cpu chip installed on the motherboard of the computer system.

Uses SSD as comparison to HDD:-

The SSD is full of semiconductor material based memory devices for permanently used on the computer for long time uses to store the database files and application installation and also the operation system installation on the SSD.

The computer boots the operating system quickly and increases access to files quickly from the SSD depending on the operating system scheduling system of the operating system.

HDD is slower than the SSD because the HDD is an older version of memory device to store in the magnetic tape on the disc and the disc is rotated through the motor and spindle in the unit of Round per minute. The HDD rotates 15000 RPM of disc that is slower for the newer version of the operating system. Where the SSD is a semiconductor device based flash to store and read the data from the memory cell which is a unit of SSD memory device. So, finally use SSD to increase the speed of processing, running and storing data with these basic hardware installations on the desktop computer system but remember it is a suggestion for all users to read carefully and consider also their compatibility of operating system and motherboard supporting hardware.
